This series is a "fun" thing that we - Lin-Mark created - We want you to see how you measure up in your age group - if we can find a sponsor for 2024 we may be able to award prizes. Every 2024 event that we time will be scored and posted on this series page usually with in a few hours after completion. Our complete 2024 Florida event schedule is posted at: https://www.linmarksports.com/events.
Overall standings are shown but the age group standings are the series determinant.
How it works.
Runners are scored based upon their chip time in every live event we time. As of now - There is no minimum or maximum number of events to run to qualify - the more races you run - the more points you earn.
For the series, age your age on 12/31/2024 is your series age. Points are awarded for gender place and age group place using this concept.
The number of finishers for the race determines the number of points available for scoring.
Example: Race A has 261 finishers - so 261 points are available to be awarded.
1st place overall finisher receives 261 overall points and 261 age group points , 2nd place 260 pts, 3rd place 259 points etc.
Persons who were awarded overall, masters, grand masters and senior masters awards at each race are then put back into their respective age groups for series scoring. Every finisher is awarded points.
