We have created a live Race Site Map that includes important information about the race site and parking details. The live Race Site Map provides the most up-to-date information about the race site so please save the link for use on race morning. If you have location services enabled on your mobile device you should be able to see where you are in relation to the race site.

COURSE & RACE DETAILS

RACE GROUPS

When registering, all participants are directed to select a corral (Group). There will be three Groups on race morning; Group A, Group B, and Group C. Each group has a cap of 200 athletes and registration will automatically be cut off when the group limit is reached. The group selected indicates the race start time and when participants in each group will be allowed to enter transition, see SCHEDULE OF EVENTS page for details.

RACE START

Once transition has been cleared, participants will be walked to the start in the run staging area noted by the Start marker on the Race Site Map linked above. Participants will be lined up by race number and will start in a time trial style start, one participants every 3-5 seconds, until all participants in the Group have exited the run start staging area.

RUN COURSE (1st run)

The 1-MILE run course will loop participants around the waterpark through the waterpark parking lot and on sidewalks. At the completion of the 1st run, participants will be directed into the transition area where they can gather their swim items and remove running shoes. Participants will exit the transition area and loop through the back of the waterpark towards the swim start. There will be race crew and course markings noting where to go.

SWIM COURSE

Once participants reach the swim start they will enter the water and complete a 125-METER swim in the lazy river (lazy river current will be turned off). The depth is 36"-42" throughout and is narrow enough that kids who may not be strong swimmers will be able to hold onto the side. There will be waterpark lifeguards stationed throughout the entire swim area.  Once reaching the swim exit, swimmers will exit the water and follow race crew and course markings back to the transition area where they will leave their swim items and gather running gear.

RUN COURSE (2nd run)

Once participants have changed back to running gear they will exit transition near the run staging area (crew and markings will show where to go). They will then complete the same run course looping around the waterpark with the exception of the end of the run where they will be directed to the finish chute where the finish line awaits!

FINISH LINE

The finish line will be marked with a large inflatable and fencing leading in for about 1/10th of a mile. Once across the line athletes will turn in their timing chip/ankle strap and receive their medal. Water will also be available in the finish chute as well as a pre-packaged snack. All athletes will then be directed back into their transition area where they will wait until a parent/guardian, wearing a number-matching wristband, comes to claim them. There will be race staff and uniformed police officers at the entrance/exit for the transition.

POST RACE

There will be no awards ceremony held on site, however, an online awards ceremony will take place a day or so after the event. Details will be provided about how to claim awards after the event.
