Enjoy Your Life Happy Half Marathon & Friendly 5K

The 2nd Annual Enjoy Your Life Happy Half Marathon and Friendly 5k this Spring will be the most fun and exciting race event in the area! The half marathon course is challenging that weaves your way through three picturesque towns offering up the most beautiful backdrop of farmland, open space, and countryside. The 5K is an out and back to our local favorite open space at Battis Farm! Once you cross that finish line, the party will just be getting started with a beautiful sit down brunch, live music, local vendors, beer and more! 

Race Date: April 20, 2025

Half Marathon Start Time: 9AM
5K Start: 9:15AM

Location: Heritage Park, Amesbury MA (27 Water Street)

Packet Pickup Party: Saturday April 19th from 2-5PM at Bryony and Birch Studio, located at 48 Main St, Amesbury, MA. You can park behind the building and use the back entrance.  *Yes you can pick up for your friends.       
**If you are not pre-registered by Saturday at Noon you will not be able to pick up your race materials until race morning.

Race Day Registration and Pickup (Sunday): Starting at 7:30AM - 9AM at Race Site.

Timing: We will have chip timing by our race series partner Bay State Race Services.

Half Marathon Course Time Cap: 3.5 hour time cap beginning at 9AM 

Half Course Details: The start and finish is at Heritage Park in downtown Amesbury, and is a loop course that takes runners through Amesbury as well as Newton and South Hampton across the New Hampshire border. The majority of the course is run on paved and tree-lined roads that show off the beauty of the region while providing some shade on the sunniest of days. While the course has some hills, most of the hills are small rolling hills, with one steady incline during the first three miles of the race. Water Stations and Bathrooms: The course will offer three aid stations, at approximately mile 3.5, 8.5 and 10.5. Aid stations will have Gatorade and Water, and there will be an opportunity for an on course bathroom break for the half marathon just before mile 4 in the parking lot of the South Hampton Fire Department.

5K Course Details: The 5K course is an out and back with a turn around in the parking lot of our beautiful open space at Battis Farm. There will be 1 Aid Station that will offer water in the parking lot at Battis Farm.

Participant Swag: Each half marathon competitor will receive a high-quality Enjoy Your Life Brand windbreaker jacket and 5K'rs will receive an ultra-comfortable Enjoy Your Life Tech shirt. *There will be no official award ceremony. Awards will be claimed at the red pop up tent to the right of the stage that says “Award Table.” There will be a picture opportunity there as well! Announcements will be made when you can begin to pick up your awards.

$50 on Race Day

Parking: Limited parking is available on Water St. and in the public parking lot located right at race site. You can find addl. parking just beyond race site by the head of the Amesbury Riverwalk Trail (GPS: 35 Water St) 
Overflow parking can be found in the business lots off Oakland St. which are a short walk to the start and finish area. Parking in the downtown Amesbury area is permitted, just be mindful of any signage that is posted.

Dogs/Strollers: We do welcome dogs and strollers. We do ask that you line up in the back at the start line. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Beneficiaries: Amesbury High School Boosters will be our main beneficiary for 2025.

Weather: Races are held in rain, snow or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend. If the race needs to be cancelled there will be no refunds, but we will do our best to establish a postponement date. That being said, if a postponement date cannot be reached with all involved parties, each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t-shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration.
