Join us Saturday, September 17th, 2022 for our 11th Annual Purple Passion 5k walk/run! Packet pick-up and day-of registration starts at 7 am. We will kick off the event together at 7:30 AM with words from local leaders devoted to ending sexual and domestic violence. The race starts at 8 am sharp, followed by medals and raffle drawing at 9:00. The race will have chip timing and results will be available after the race on racewire.com.
The first 150 registrants will receive a technical race t-shirt and swag bag. Thanks to our friends at Marathon Sports, the OVERALL WINNERS by gender will receive a $50 Marathon Sports gift card, and the top age group finishers will each receive a Marathon Sports gift card as well! AND, if that's not enough of an incentive, if you can break the course record (17:10 for males, 19:26 for females), you'll get yet ANOTHER $50 Marathon Sports gift card. HOLY COW! Note: only in-person finishers will qualify.
Given the continued public health crisis, Voices will again offer a hybrid walk/run to accommodate our community while keeping everyone as healthy and safe as possible. Join us virtually from September 10th-17th to show your support for survivors!
Our largest fundraiser of the year, the Purple Passion 5k raises the necessary funds to support survivors in the MetroWest community with free, confidential services. Please consider sharing your personal fundraising page or your team's fundraising page with your family, friends and colleagues. With your help, we can provide survivors and their loved ones with the support and services they need. Voices will again have a Clothesline Project interactive exhibit at Purple Passion.
Sponsoring the Purple Passion 5K Run/Walk is a GREAT way to support a critically important cause in your community, while raising awareness of your organization. Contact purplepassion@smoc.org for more information about sponsorship opportunities or to contribute a raffle prize.
Medals will be awarded for the top overall male, female and nonbinary/all gender/agender finisher as well as the top finishers in the age groups.
Online registration will close at 8 pm on Thursday, September 15th - but race day registration will be available!
We love volunteers! To volunteer at Purple Passion (or with Voices on an ongoing basis), please reach out to Becca at rspall-hood@smoc.org or sign up here.
Parking: There's plenty of free parking behind 7 Bishop Street! Watch for the SMOC signs and turn southeast at the intersection of Bishop St & Clark St.
