Lone Wolf Virtual Race

For the fifth year running, we're bringing back the Lone Wolf Virtual Race! Support Wolf Hollow–join our virtual pack and walk or run at your own pace. Walk/Run with your family and friends. Walk/Run with your dog! Outside or on a treadmill, you choose and navigate your own course any day throughout Wolf Awareness Week, October 20th-26th, 2024.

Registration is now open! Distance options include 5K and 1 mile.

Registration will close at 11:59pm EST on October 26th, 2024. All participants will receive a virtual bib, as well as a Wolf Hollow PACKet that includes a commemorative pin and sticker and a photocard of our ambassador wolves!

Limited edition race beanies are available as an add-on for $20.00 each. Beanies will be shipped after the race, along with your PACKet!

Participants are also encouraged to share a photo of their walk or run on social media. Your photo will count as an automatic entry into our race raffle, where a lucky winner will win a prize and be featured in our newsletter and on our social media accounts. Simply tag us on Facebook at @Wolf Hollow or on Instagram at @wolf_hollow_ma, and use the hashtag #WHLoneWolf2024 to enter into the raffle!

This year we’re adding another prize for those who refer friends and family to participate! Every referral is an entry into a raffle to win a membership to Wolf Hollow! You can find your referral link at the bottom of your registration email. If you have trouble finding it on your email you can go to “My Profile,” then click “My Referrals” under “Registration Links.”

All proceeds from the race will go directly to Wolf Hollow to support the care of our wolves and the development of our programs, and help us in our mission to protect wolves in the wild through public education and exposure.

Wolf Hollow is a 501(c)3 non profit located in Ipswich, MA. We are run almost entirely by volunteer staff and home to 8 ambassador wolves. Wolf Hollow currently offers small public and private educational tours to visitors each weekend, as well as larger presentations (please note: tour availability is limited and reservations must be made online and in advance). Who are we?
Wolf Hollow is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Ipswich, MA that aims to preserve wolves in the wild through public education and exposure. Our property is currently home to 8 ambassador wolves who see members of the public each weekend via our educational tours and presentations.

What distances can I sign up for?
When you register for the race you can choose between a 5K or 1 Mile walk/run.

Can I participate if I live outside of the US?
No. Unfortunately we cannot support international shipping at this time. Because of this, we have limited registration to only those whose shipping addresses are in the US.

When?
The Lone Wolf Virtual Race takes place during Wolf Awareness Week, from October 20th-26th. You can run or walk your race any time during this week! Just be sure to submit your race time by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, October 27th, 2024.

How? 
After registering for the race, you will receive an email confirming your entrance. Registration will be open until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, October 26th, 2024. You will receive your virtual bib via email shortly after. Wolf PACKets will be organized by our volunteers and shipped shortly after registration closes.

Run or walk your own route any time during Wolf Awareness Week, and submit through the results tab by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, October 27th, 2024.

If you ordered a beanie, it will ship with your PACKet after the race.

Am I required to submit a time?
No. The time submission is only to see where you rank in the pack. There is no obligation to share your results, and it will not impede receiving your Wolf PACKet and beanie in the mail.

Photos? Prizes?!
We would love to see photos of you on race day! To make things a little more interesting, we're also giving you a chance to win a prize! To be entered into our raffle, snap a selfie and follow these steps:
1. Post your race photo to Facebook or Instagram.
2. Tag us on Facebook at @Wolf Hollow or on Instagram at @wolf_hollow_ma.
3. Use the hashtag #WHLoneWolf2024 to be automatically entered into our raffle! 

A chance to win a membership!
We’re excited to announce a new raffle this year! Refer a friend for a chance to win a Wolf Hollow membership! Have your friends use the referral link in your email to sign up for the race. Each referral is an entry for a chance to win!

Can I donate without running?
Yes! Please feel free to use our paypal link to complete your donation.

How do I submit my time?
Go to the Results tab on the website and click on “Submit Virtual Results”. Follow the instructions for submission, which will include entering your first and last name. Alternatively, you can go through your profile. On the top right hand side of the website you will see a submit virtual results link.
