Stepping Stones for Stella

Join us for the sixth 5K Freedom Run & 1 mile Walk IN PERSON to raise money for Stepping Stones for Stella. 100% of the event proceeds are allocated to the production and shipment of Buggies to families across the country.

Packet Pickup/Race Day Reg: There will not be an early packet pickup. Packet pickup and race day reg will open at 745AM on race morning at race site. 

Fees:
$25 through 5/15
$30 through 6/11
$35 through 6/19 at 4PM 
$40 on race day
Youth Under 15 - $20 (no price increase)
Kids Fun Run: $15 (10 & under)
Virtual: $30

Course: This 5K flat/fast course will start and finish at the Temple Emanu-EL in Marblehead.

Kids Fun Run: 200 Meter Dash is targeted for those 10 and under starting at 8:55am. 

Team Category: Own a business? Part of a running club? This is an easy and fun way to recruit your friends. Teams must consist of at least 2+ people. Prizes will be awarded for the largest & fastest team.

Virtual Option: We learned a lot from the 2020 pandemic, one of which being the limitless virtual world, where scheduling conflicts and traveling are no longer a problem. You'll have all weekend to complete your preferred distance while receiving all the glory including all the swag and an even an opportunity to submit your race results. Unfortunately you won't be eligible for awards.

Swag: All pre-registered participants by 6/1 will be guaranteed a special gift.

Top 3 M/F finishers.
1st M/F in each of the following age groups: 12-Under, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Post Race Festivities: There will be music, an assortment of packaged goodies, a variety of kid’s games/entertainment and a slew of local and corporate vendors supporting the event.

More about Stepping Stones for Stella: Since 2016, more than $500K has been raised through a variety of fundraising events, corporate donors and small donations. In over the past 5 years, more than 500 buggies have been produced & shipped to families all over the country. As of now, our patented buggies are only eligible for children who have independent, unsupported trunk and head control. Our organization does require, an application process for families seeking a buggy due to our resources and the nature of the supply and demand of our buggies. More about the Buggies: These sturdy, light-weight, all-terrain Buggies allow easy access to all types of outdoor environments that may require moving across sand, gravel, dirt, grass and even snow. On average, the cost of a fully adapted Buggy is nearly $550 depending on its size, add-on components and shipping requirements.

Race Refunds & Event Cancellations: We understand life happens and things may come up. We’ve implemented a defer and transfer policy for FREE up to a certain date for all High5EM events. Refunds, transfers or deferments made after said date will incur a small fee for administration purposes. In the case of event cancellation due to public safety, inclement weather or some other unforeseen power at be, the entire event will become virtual.
