  • This 20+ year Strider tradition has no entry fee! Just bring 15 canned or non-perishable goods to support the Hudson Food Pantry.
  • The 10-mile and 5-mile courses are run simultaneously and conclude at the finish line in Ghiloni Park.
  • Prizes for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in both races! Generously donated by our friends at PR Running, our local running store.
  • These beautiful courses roll through the hills of Marlborough and Hudson and are well-supported by our cheerful course marshals along the way.
  • The 5-mile race is open to walkers and runners and is a great option for those training for our Tough Ten Turkey trot in November!
  • A 2:15 time limit will apply to the 10-mile race. Runners who have not reached the 10/5 split after 40 minutes will be directed to the 5-mile finish line by volunteers.
  • The national anthem will be performed by one of our own Highland City Striders!
  • Photographers on the course!
  • Post-race refreshments available!
  • Bragging rights’ for the local running club (or other organization) with the most runners/walkers and fastest overall pace!

We hope to see you at the starting line at Ghiloni Park at 8:00 am on Labor Day.

This race was the creation of Mark Vital in 2003 and its primary purpose is to raise food and community awareness for the Marlborough Food Pantry. Vital says, “I love running and just wanted to help out. This type of run is great for the community and a lot of fun for the runners.” Instead of charging an entry fee to run, the recommended fee is 15 nonperishable food items. “Many runners bring extra”, says Vital.
