Join us on Sunday, May 10, 2026, for the NCLS Dragon's Path AAPI 5K/1K Run & Walk — a joyful celebration of Mother’s Day, AAPI Heritage Month, healthy living, and the vibrant spirit of our community!
Lace up your sneakers and take on the flat, fast, tree-lined course along the scenic Wells Ave loop in Newton. Breathe in the fresh spring air, enjoy blossoming trees, and soak up the lively, welcoming atmosphere. All ages and abilities are welcome — whether you're running, walking, or cheering!
This special event is proudly hosted by the Newton Chinese Language School (NCLS).Founded in 1959, NCLS is New England's largest Chinese language school, with a proud 67-year legacy of preserving cultural heritage, promoting language learning, and fostering multicultural exchange. Today, we serve over 800 families and 1,300 students, building strong intergenerational connections and strengthening our Greater Boston community.
Come celebrate with us — We will have pre race warmup and after race performances, live bands, delicious food and fresh roses for everyone! Register today and be part of the fun!

Event Information
Portable Bathrooms:
Portable bathrooms will be available on race day.
On-stie registration and Number Pick-Up:
On-site registration will be available at Newton Chinese Language School library on Sundays, March 15, March 22, March 29, April 6th, April 12th and May 4th.
Race bibs can be picked up at the Newton Chinese Language School library on Sunday, May 4th, or at 154 Wells Ave, Newton, starting at 8:00 AM on race day, May 11th.
Pre-Race Packet Pickup:
Packets (including time-chipped bibs and race shirts) will be available during the pick-up times listed above.
Awards:
Top 3 male and female finishers in the 5K &1K.
Top male and female finisher in each age group (10-year increments, excluding overall top 3) in 5K.
Largest team award in 5K and 1K.
T-Shirts:
The first 200 registered runners and walkers will get a premium quick-dry T-shirt featuring a designer Dragon logo.
Post-Race:
Free water, fruit, and snacks will be available to all runners at the finish line.
Volunteering:
Join our volunteer team! Volunteers receive a free race T-shirt, and students can earn community service hours.
