Description
Welcome to our 3rd Annual Run to Beat Nantucket. This unique road race offers runners and walkers a choice between a one-mile and a 5K course. The race begins and ends at Nomans in Oak Bluffs, and runs along beautiful State Beach! Proceeds go to the support Martha's Vineyard Regional High School athletes with upgrades to our scorers booth and our newly improved Weight and Multipurpose Room.
The Vineyard football team will be traveling to Nantucket on October 28, 2023 for the coveted Island Cup match up. Several years ago, the two islands collaborated and scheduled many fall sports teams to play on the same day. This year there will be 8 sports teams and roughly 240 Vineyard athletes competing on Nantucket. The match ups include Junior high, Junior Varsity and Varsity football, girls and boys Soccer, field hockey and cheerleading. It’s a fun filled busy sports day!
