BEAT THE TIDE: 3rd Annual Plymouth Beach Run and Clam Bake

BEAT THE TIDE - PLease be aware this is a semi-challenging course which may involve getting wet. There are some minor technical parts of this course which involve achievable rocky portions.  This year we have two distances of 3.1 miles and 5 miles. Runners may get wet!! That's all part of the fun. The tide is coming back in, so you'll need to get your groove on if you are running the 5 miler!

This year we will have live music and clam bake on the beach at the finish line. All runners will receive a beer ticket for a beer at the famous "Sandys Shanty" on the beach. Live band will be playing at the finish. Party ends at around 9PM.

Last year we had a special blast of a race on Plymouth's Long Beach. It's time to hit the surf again with an evening 5K with waves, rocks and Rock and Roll! This is a low-key beachboys type race with high fun. The race distance is 3.1 miles and it is challenging. Be prepared for a technical but achievable surface. There is some good flat sand and some rocky obstacles. Don't run too slowly (slower than 50 minutes) or you may end up in the drink as the tide starts to come back in you may get your feet wet. This race is guaranteed to offer the most beautiful venue of any race in the area. If you've ever been to this area of Plymouth's beaches, then you know runners will be treated to a panoramic view of Cape Cod Bay, Plymouth Point Light House and Marshfield Beach Point. The sunset is amazing!
