WHO WE ARE:

Many women and their children in the Springfield area go without housing on a daily basis. They have no place to call home and no place to feel safe. The lives of these mothers and their little ones are forever changed by their circumstances; their nutrition suffers putting them at risk for health concerns and their psychological health is often damaged. The voices of these families called out to us for help.

To help meet the needs of women and children in our community, Christina’s House was established in 2012 by our President and Founder Linda Mumblo.  The name Christina was chosen as it means "follower of Christ." Linda was following God's call to start this program. Because of her tenacity, motivation, and the support of our community we opened our doors in late 2014 to our first home on Madison Avenue in Springfield, Ma.

Christina’s House is a transitional education program with a mission to educate, embrace, and encourage women and their children who are homeless or near homeless through the love of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to provide our program participants with life skills and education so they can become self-sufficient as they transition from homelessness to permanent and stable living environments.
