Join us for the inaugural running of the Hoop City Marathon & Half Marathon as we run through beautiful parks, pass by historical landmarks, and share in the community spirit that is Springfield, Massachusetts. Springfield, known to some as “Hoop City”, is the city of firsts, the birthplace of basketball, and the revitalized urban center of the Pioneer Valley. There’s so much more to this city than meets the eye and you really need to get out there on foot to appreciate it! Not up for a full or half marathon? Round up some friends and create a marathon relay team or join us on Saturday for a picturesque 5k through Forest Park. Just like the city of Springfield, there’s something for everyone in this event – even a kid’s race and activities to keep spectators entertained while they wait for their beloved finishers!
