Description

The Crazy Snowman Race Series

The third of the Crazy Snowman Race Series for 2020 was scheduled for this coming Sunday March 22nd at the Amherst Middle School. However, while we were debating if we should cancel it the decision was made for us by the Amherst School District when they cancelled all non-urgent gatherings of people. We are sad we won’t get to host our third and final race, but all is not lost. Crazy Snowman has gone virtual and so has the Irish Snowman Challenge.

For the Crazy Snowman 5k and 15K: Walk or run either distance anytime on Sunday March 22nd and send us a photo of your mileage from a watch or app via FB messenger (Crazy Snowman Race Series) or email Gibby at gibbybooth@gmail.com.

The Irish Snowman Challenge: Run or walk a 10k on a treadmill or out and about any time on March 21st and then walk or run a 5k or 15k same thing either on a treadmill or outside anytime on March 22nd. Send us photos of your mileage from a watch or app via FB messenger (Crazy Snowman Race Series) or email Gibby at gibbybooth@gmail.com. Completing this challenge earns you the Irish Snowman Medal. Medals will be mailed. I will be sure to only use packaging material that has adhesive and therefore doesn't require licking as well as to use plenty of hand sanitizer.

Awards: Overall men and women 1st-3rd prizes for both distances. Prizes will be mailed. I will be sure to only use packaging material that has adhesive and therefore doesn't require licking as well as to use plenty of hand sanitizer.

For 5k: 1st: $20 and small trophy  2nd: small trophy, 3rd: small trophy
