IMPORTANT!! Race cancelled due to severe weather!
Due to the high winds with gusts up to 60 mph and substantial rainfall forecasted for tomorrow, we have decided to cancel this event. This decision was not made lightly. We would not be able to put on the event under those conditions which also present elevated safety risks. We thank you for your support of St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Children’s.
If you are local, please stop by Red River BBQ in Harwich Port between 11:30 AM and 1 PM on Saturday, September 26 to enjoy a couple of complimentary Bud Lites on us and pick up your race t-shirt. We will also have beautiful hoodies and ballcaps available for an additional donation ($45 for hoodies and $25 for ballcaps). All net proceeds will go directly to the charities.
Despite the costs of cancellation and the reduced number of sign-ups, we are pleased to let you know that with the monies we have raised through sponsorships and charitable donations, we will still be sending each charity a significant donation.
Planning is already underway to hold this event in 2027 at Pleasant Rd Beach in West Harwich. Watch for our emails next spring with more details!
