The USATF-certified 5K course is a point-to-point course. It starts at Charles and Franklin Streets and proceeds south along the parade route to Conway Street, east to Light Street, south to Key Highway to a turnaround point near Jackson Street. Return on Key Highway to go north on Light Street to Pratt Street then to Market Place (left turn). Finish on Market Place between Pratt and Lombard Streets at Power Plant Live.
The race course is closed to bikes, skaters and baby joggers/strollers.
Water will be provided on course and at the finish line.
Cash awards to the top three men and women in the open division of $150, $125 and $100. In addition, a $100 prize will be awarded to the first man and the first woman in the masters division (40 and over).
Age group awards to top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.
Overall and Masters awards are determined by gun time, and age groups are awarded by net time. There are no duplications.
All preregistered runners will receive a gender-specific, Under Armour technical T-shirt, a finishers medal and entry to the post-race party. Runners 21 and over will receive 2 complimentary beers.
Shirts will be available in the following: male sizing (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and female sizing (XS, S, M, L, XL).
Volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt and entry to the post-race party. Volunteers should check in on race day at the Power Plant Live! To volunteer please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Live music and awards will be hosted by Power Plant Live! just north of finish line at Market Place and Water Streets. All runners 21 and over can enjoy 2 free beers at the finish line, but you WILL need proper identification near the finish line. Other light refreshments/snacks will be provided. The awards ceremony will be held during the post race celebration.

We allow transfers up to two weeks prior to race day. There is a $10 processing fee for transfers. The transfer processing fee is paid by the "new registrant". You may transfer by going into your profile on runsignup.com and choosing manage registration. Transfer will not be allowed after February 24th, 2018. We do not allow deferrals for the Under Armour KELLY St. Patrick's Day Shamrock 5K.
Please no baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your race number to another participant.
