Third Annual Brightview's Age Is Just A # 5K Run/Walk

Brightview Avondell, Brightview Bel Air and Brightview Perry Hall senior living communities are teaming up for our third annual Age Is Just a # 5K Run/Walk. Brightview Avondell features Independent Living and Assisted Living, Brightview Bel Air features Assisted Living and Wellspring Village®, Brightview’s innovative program and specialized environment for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and Brightview Perry Hall provides the full continuum including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Wellspring Village®. Brightview has been proudly serving Baltimore area residents since 1999. 100% of the proceeds from the Age Is Just a # 5K Run/Walk event will benefit Harford County’s Office on Aging’s Senior Emergency Fund which was established to assist eligible senior citizens in Harford County who find themselves in difficult circumstances with no other resources on which to rely. Senior Emergency Funds have made a difference in the quality of life and independence for many older Harford Countians.

Entry Fees:

5k
$15 - Children 12 & under with adult prior to race day, $25 on race day (discounted price will be applied at checkout)
$25 - Ages 13-59 prior to race day, $35 on race day
$15 - Adults 60+ prior to race day, $25 on race day (discounted price will be applied at checkout)

1k Walk
$15 all ages

Please Note: The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

Course Information:
The 5k course consists of an out-and-back loop on the Ma & Pa Trail beginning and ending at the Williams Street entrance. The trail is an asphalt/crushed gravel surface and features rolling hills. Due to the design of the course and the level of activity projected during the event, dogs are not permitted on the course for the 5k run or 1k walk. Cash prizes as follows:
1st Place Overall: $100 (male & female)
2nd Place Overall: $75 (male & female)
3rd Place Overall: $50 (male & female)

Medals for the top male and female runners in the following age groups:

12 & Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Amenities:

Race t-shirts are guaranteed to all 5k & 1k participants registered by July 31 (availability and sizes cannot be guaranteed for those registering after the 31st). Water will be available on the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at all turns.

Packet Pick Up:

Packet pickup will be available on race day beginning at 7:30 AM at Ma & Pa Trail parking lot on Williams Street.
