40th Chestertown Tea Party Half Marathon and 5K

NEW FOR 2016 - HALF MARATHON!

Radcliffe Creek School, located in Chestertown, MD, provides a dynamic environment where children gain the confidence to challenge themselves as learners.  Students are aware that each of us has to step out of our comfort zone to improve our skills and achieve at a higher level. So, in celebration of the 40th year of the Tea Party Distance Classic, Radcliffe felt it only fitting that the Run For Radcliffe challenge its race registrants in the same manner that it challenges its students.  This year, we ask the distance runners to “step out of their comfort zone” by adding just 3.1 more miles to their run and compete in the first Tea Party Half Marathon. A new run course has been designed specifically for the half-marathon race, and Radcliffe’s Run Committee has incorporated lots of exciting additions for ALL run participants.  Everyone at Radcliffe is excited about changing the distance run to a half marathon and its new course.  We hope that the added 3.1-mile Challenge will bring new runners to Chestertown and the Tea Party Festivities. The Run For Radcliffe will still include the 5K Run/Walk as an option for those registrants who may not be up for the half-marathon challenge.  All are welcome, and no one finishes empty-handed.

Some other information about what the event will include:

All half-marathon finishers will receive a commemorative medal and half-marathon sticker
All runners who register before the day of the 5K and Half Marathon will receive a T-shirt
Cool swag chosen with the distance runner in mind
All awards will be given immediately following the 5K & half-marathon races, runners will not have to wait hours for an Awards Ceremony
