Join us for the 2024 Somerset Elementary Back-to-School Classic, in Chevy Chase, MD or Virtually! Cost is $40 for adults and $25 for kids 18 and under (automatically adjusted at check out). T-shirt only is $20. Proceeds from the race will support the Somerset PTA. As always, we’ll be offering a prize for the grade that signs up the most runners. Please join us and sign up today!

Packet Pick- Up & On-Site Registration
Packet Pick-Up will be:
Friday: 4 PM to 7 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 3 PM
As a last resort, Sunday, 10/06 from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM
Race Day Schedule
8k race will start at 9:00 AM.
2k race will start at 9:30 AM.

The USATF-certified 8K course is illustrated in the course map below. Official results will be posted.
There will be great prizes for:
The team that registers the most runners
The grade that registers the most students to run

2K
Feel free to walk, run, stroll, or jog! Strollers, baby-joggers, skates, and pets are allowed. Families and children are encouraged to participate!

Virtual 8K & 2K
We are excited to offer a virtual option for the Somerset Elementary School 8K & 2K. Sign up for virtual and participate in the walk/run from any location!
Virtual Process:
1. Register Online
2. Recruit Friends– we want to see how many areas of the country we can get people involved, but we need your help!
3. Train– you will have several weeks to train before race weekend. Good luck and get at it!
4. Pre-Race Communication– we will send you information as we get closer to race weekend to help you get ready and to learn how to submit your results.
5. Digital Bib– print your race bib to wear during your run or walk.
6. Race Weekend– it’s time! Complete your walk/run at any location, from Friday, September 29th-Sunday October 1st.
7. Submit Results– Follow instructions you receive via text, or submit results online HERE.
8. Results Posted– results will continue to update race weekend
