RRP Revolutionary Run 5K

Join the RRP for a fun Virtual 5k Event to celebrate Independence Day!

Amble, walk, run, trot or canter from the comfort of your own home! Grab your OTTB, family, friends and neighbors, and just get moving - this event can be done anywhere, any time, over 4th of July weekend. Record your race times and get competitive, or simply mark your race "complete." Sign up now to receive your run t-shirt in time for the 4th! Participants are also invited to fundraise for the benefit of the Retired Racehorse Project through July 15th and earn great incentives while doing so. In order to qualify, be sure to select the "Become a Fundraiser" button during the registration process to set up your social fundraiser. 

Prizes and Fundraising Incentives:

• Participants will receive $10 of RRP store credit for every $100 raised (paid as a sum to the team captain for teams)

• Participants whose fundraisers exceed $300 will receive an exclusive water bottle (one for each team member)

• The top earning fundraisers (one individual and one team) will receive a cooler (for drinks and picnics, not your horse)

• Water bottles will also be awarded to superlative winners. Share photos of your run on social media with the hashtag #OTTBRevolution to enter in the following superlative categories, chosen by staff-favorite:

  • Baby, You're a Firework (best use of glitter in a run costume)

  • Creative License (most creative run [walk, ride, swim, paddle] execution)

  • Independence Day, but Make it Fashion (most patriotic run costume)

New for this year: Teams! Participants have the option of forming or joining a team when they register. Join forces with your friends and family and complete your run together! Teams can be formed with as few as two members.
