I Believe In Me 5K Run/Walk for HOPE!

It is the mission of I Believe In Me to inspire and challenge youth through mental, physical, and social activities that fosters self respect and respect for the world around them. I Believe In Me is committed to achieving a series of outcomes that are pivotal for the holistic development and empowerment of youth. Our organization aims to break the generational cycles of struggle prevalent within ALICE  communities, helping youth escape the traps of poverty, incarceration, drug abuse, early mortality, and other adversities youth with ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) may succumb to. Through tailored interventions and mentorship, our goal is to place youth on positive pathways toward successful futures, equipping them with the skills, resilience, and opportunities necessary to thrive. Additionally, I Believe In Me seeks to facilitate access to desired resources that promote better tomorrows, enabling participants to overcome systemic barriers and achieve their aspirations. By fostering a culture of community service and social responsibility, we encourages our youth to give back to others, thereby strengthening bonds within the community and cultivating a sense of reciprocity. We aim to ignite an interest in learning and collaboration, restorative practices, effective communication, and connecting youth with diverse opportunities for employment and personal growth through engagement with community members and interest-based learning initiatives. Finally, our mentoring program serves as a preventive measure against the allure of the societal/peer pressures, providing youth with positive alternatives, mentorship, and support systems to steer them away from unmanageable paths and toward brighter futures filled with hope and opportunity.

Every dollar you raise will directly support programs that provide educational assistance, mentorship, transportation, nutrition, clothing/hygiene products and other diverse resources for youth in Frederick County. Our collective effort can transform lives and shape a brighter future.
