Description

Join fellow home and specialty infusion professionals for the first Foundation Trek virtual 5K, held as part of NHIA's 2021 Annual Conference.

We have all been stuck at home during these unprecedented times, so let's keep connected and throw on some running shoes for this fun event! 

By participating in the Foundation Trek, in addition to getting some excellent physical activity, you'll be supporting NHIF's work to advance the home and specialty infusion industry. Participants can complete the 5K at their own pace.

The 5K will be open from April 19-22, 2021. 

Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the NHIA 2021 Annual Conference, and will be notified via email on how to collect their prizes. Prizes range from gift cards to a free NHIA 2022 Annual Conference registration.

Sign up 4 weeks prior to the conference to receive your 5K t-shirt prior to the race date. All registrants that sign up after the 4 week cutoff date will receive their t-shirt after the conference.

As you're doing the Foundation Trek, tag us on social media using the hashtags #NHIA2021, #FoundationTrek, and #NHIFFoundationTrek to be featured on our social media pages. Not attending the 2021 Annual Conference? We don't know why not . . . but it's okay - you can still participate in the FUNdraiser!

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL 5K AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sign Up to Participate

Can’t win fun prizes and get the race shirt if you don’t register! Click the "register now" button at the top of the page to get signed up! You will also have an opportunity to opt-in to report your run/walk results via text or email (we’ll explain more below) and confirm your shipping address

Group/Team Participation

During the registration process you will be prompted to join or start a group/team. Either start a team or search and select your team name to join. It is as easy as that. Let's see who can create the "largest" team.

Run/Walk/Jog Your Pace

Registrants will run (or walk) the race at any location they choose (treadmill, neighborhood, local park) anytime between April 19th and April 22nd. If you are participating and would like to be listed in the results make sure you are tracking your time and distance. You can do so with a watch or running/walking app (example: Garmin watch, Strava App). Make sure you run the whole distance (3.1 Miles for a 5K). You will then be able to report your time. Results will be automatically updated as race times come in. 

Submit Your Results

5K Runners/Walkers will be able to submit their results through text or email (if opted in) or through the runsignup.com results page starting on April 19th and ending on April 22nd 11:59PM ET. You must run/walk your 5K (3.1 mile) race during this time period to be listed in the official results.
