Join us Saturday, April 4, 2020 for our fourth annual Bulldog Dash 5K presented by the Mount Airy Middle School PTO.
Beyond a good time, feel good knowing that the net proceeds will allow the PTO to continue to support programs that foster safe, fun, educational and memorable experiences for current and future Mount Airy Middle School students. Unable to join us? Consider making a tax deductible donation via the donate button above.
The Bulldog Dash 5K starts and finishes at Mount Airy Middle School atop Parr's Ridge, one of the highest points in Maryland East of the Appalachian Mountains. Finishing where you started, every foot of climbing will be rewarded with a foot of descending. The Bulldog Dash 5K rewards a slow start and patience through the half way point. Keep something in the tank for Bulldog Hill—a half mile, 159 foot climb out of Watkins Park to Main Street in front of Mount Airy Middle School—and then enjoy nearly a mile of descent along Main Street and Rails To Trails.
The Bulldog Dash 5K course includes asphalt, paved walking path, sidewalk and Mount Airy's Rails To Trails. Due to several narrow sections of sidewalk and the unimproved Rails To Trails surface, strollers and baby joggers are strongly discouraged. Pets are prohibited.
