CBD-IAI Harbor Hustle Virtual 5K

WELCOME ALL FORENSIC AFICIONADOS! 

The Chesapeake Bay Division of the International Association for Identification (CBD-IAI) is proud to host a Virtual 5K event as part of the Parent IAI's 107th Educational Conference for 2023. It is a privilege to announce that this year's conference will be held at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland with a close backdrop of the Nation's Capital in the distance!  But, whether the opportunity to attend the conference in person, or to learn from afar this year, our Virtual 5k is an opportunity to be included in an event with all your fellow colleagues. 

As this event will be held virtually, participation will be self-paced and will work with all your busy schedules! Days, nights and weekends are all fair game - as well as any terrain your feet and heart desire. All athletic abilities and staminas are welcome!

Find time to complete this event in your hometown, take advantage of the beautiful property at the World Class Gaylord National Harbor Resort & Convention Center during the conference, OR if the hustle and bustle of city life is more your style then consider downtown DC with the National Mall and monuments as your environment. No town is too small, or city too big! 

WHAT: Virtual 5K (3.1 miles) - Your own race, at your own pace, with self-submitted timed results! 

WHEN: Tuesday, August 1st - Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 

WHERE: Any Location (road, trail, treadmill, beach, mountain, etc.)

HOW: Run, Walk, Crawl, Speedwalk, or Jog your entire mileage

FEES: $35 + processing fee (additional fees will apply if you choose to have your medal shipped to you rather than pickup) 

INCLUDED: A CBD-IAI Harbor Hustle Virtual 5K MEDAL, Printable 5K Bib, & 5K Finisher Certificate

_{NOTE: If the Shipping & Handling option is chosen at check-out for your 5K Finisher Medal, those will be packaged and shipped starting the week of August 28th.}

_{An allotment of roughly 2 weeks should be applied to receive it in the mail.}

_{This will allow time for the CBD-IAI committee members to wrap up their Conference duties and cross-check race stats and address collections.}

The password will be provided if you are an affiliate of the forensic community until a time when it is deemed that we can open it to the public.

Registration will be open beginning Monday, May 1st and will close on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023. Actual 5K event will occur between the dates listed above and will allow time for medal pick-up in the Vendor Hall at the 2023 IAI Conference (if attending) or can be shipped to your home address (by selecting the shipping and handling add-on option at time of registration).

All orders for this virtual race are FINAL SALE - please be mindful that if the 5K is not completed or race results are not entered prior to the race close date then your registration fee will be transitioned to support educational programs for the CBD-IAI.  

All proceeds and donations for this Virtual 5K will go to the CBD-IAI local chapter; a non-profit organization acting as a Regional Division of the Parent Body of the IAI covering the areas of MD, DC, VA, WV and DE. • Access your Digital Bib from your RunSignUp Profile under the Upcoming Events Tab through the View Digital Bib link
• Secondary access via the Digital Bib tab on your Registration Management page by logging into RunSignup, Navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration. From this page you will be able to share or print your Digital Bib using the icons above the Bib.
