Description
Join us on Saturday, March 23 2024 for our 12th Annual Anchors Aweigh 5K! This year, we celebrate National Reading Month with an optional book exchange (bring a book/take a book) and an optional "Literary Costume Contest" - dress as your favorite Literary Character.
Race information:
10:00 am start time
Meet at Chesapeake Isle Pavilion for packet pickup. (point your GPS to 127 Cliffview Dr., North East, MD).
$25.00 per person, (includes race t-shirt and post race snacks) until Feb. 29. $30.00 if you register March 1 or later.
Virtual racers are $30.00 regardless of registration date. Virtual race fees include packet shipping/delivery.
Course Details - beautiful, scenic view of the Elk River and Chesapeake Bay. Course is entirely within the Chesapeake Isle Community with eclectic homes and wooded lots. The entire course is paved.
This race will be professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing.

1 Mile Course Map
New this year! Our untimed 1 mile Fun Run/Walk for those who want to join in the fun but don't want to do the whole 5K distance.
1 mile participants will start soon after the 5K runners take off. They will follow Cliffview Dr, cross over Rolling Ave and continue onto Arden Rd.
At the intersection of Arden & Turkey Point Rd., they will turn around, go back down Arden and turn left onto Rolling Ave. They will turn right on Cliffview Drive and continue back to the finish line.

- Book Drive to Promote Literacy - The HQME TEAM of Integrity Real Estate will be hosting a book drive for the Cecil County Public Library. Please bring your gently used book(s) to the HQME TEAM of Integrity Real Estate table and you’ll be automatically entered into their raffle as a big THANK YOU! We are accepting books of all sorts, including children’s, adult novel, non-fiction, etc. Additional raffle entries may also be purchased in exchange for a monetary donation to the library.
