Join us for the Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation’s Annual Amputee Awareness 5K Walk, Wheel or Run presented by Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics!

in 2015, Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation started this annual event in April, during Amputee Awareness Month, to publicly acknowledge the countless challenges amputees face and help provide financial assistance to those who do not have the means to pay for crucial medical necessities. 

Amputees must adapt to a host of new physical challenges.  Innovative new technologies and advancements can have a tremendous impact on their recovery. From home modifications, agile wheelchairs, and prosthetics, there are many ways to help amputees start moving again and regain their physical independence.  

With each passing year, our patients with limb loss, their families, and many supporters look forward to this event to come together, get active and encourage each other. 

Our signature event occurs each year during April Amputee Awareness month to acknowledge the many issues amputees face and to provide financial assistance to those who do not have the means to pay for crucial medical necessities.

How to participate and make the best of your 5k experience:

• Register for FREE either individually or as a team here on RunSignUp.
• Create a fundraising team or join an existing one upon registering! 
• Kick-off will be at 2pm on April 24th for race-day opening ceremony!
• Join our Facebook Event Page to share pictures and videos of your training and participation. You’ll find daily inspirations, fitness and nutrition tips from our Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation staff and get to know your fellow participants!
• Keep checking back to see how other participants are doing.
