Join MCRRC for an exploration on what #RunningWhileBlack meant during Slavery, Segregation and today's BLM era as well as what seeking restitution and reparations within the running community could look like.
The Featured Runner Series is a virtual, interactive discussion that will showcase runners' diverse experiences, perspectives, and motivations. It is an extension of the conversations we have on the road and trails and will hopefully inspire you to listen to each others' stories and find connections while running.

4th Annual Black (Running) History Month Virtual Panel
Please join us for our 3nd Annual Black (Running) History Month Online Event. The panel with our featured guests will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 PM. The event is FREE and open to all MCRRC members and non-members. The panel will be moderated by Sylvie Qwasinwi Ngassa Bello, an MCRRC Member.
This event will take place on Zoom - link to be provided to registered participants the afternoon of the event.
The Panelists are TBA at this time.
Important Information for Registrants!
The speaker sessions will be held virtually, using Zoom -- if you don't have an account, it's free to create one. The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to all registered participants via the confirmation email after registering. Please keep an eye out for that confirmation message, as the Meeting ID will not be resent. Please check your spam folder.
The webinar will automatically ensure that all participants are on mute with video off. In the event that a speaker is willing to take questions, the moderator will make the session as interactive as possible for a virtual format and will do their best to address audience questions. Please note that for large groups, we will be extremely limited and we apologize in advance to anyone who does not get to ask a question.
Additional event housekeeping requests may be made by the moderator in advance of the session and not all sessions will necessarily be conducted in the same format due to speaker comfort levels and time constraints.
