Description
Welcome to the registration page for the **VIRTUAL** MCRRC Parks Half Marathon & Relay!
The virtual half marathon has participants complete the 13.1 mile race distance on your own in a socially distant and responsible manner. Registrants will receive a "groovy" finisher's medal and premium.
*** Please note that we have only recently added the relay option. If you are registered for the virtual half marathon, and wish to do the relay instead, you will need to contact office@mcrrc.org.
Relay FAQ's
The Parks Relay is also back, virtually, for 2020. The same "rules" apply -- run your distances between now & September 30th, and your premiums will be sent to you after September 30th (or instructions will be provided on where to get your premiums).
Q: How much is the relay? I am confused.
A: The relay is $40 per team ($20 per individual)
Q: Do we have to register at the same time?
A: No. Person 1 will register first and "set up" the team name. Person 1 will pay their $20. Person 2 can register separately using the "join a team" option and pay their $20. Person 1 should communication the team name to Person 2, so that Person 2 doesn't join the wrong team.
Q: Can I just register both members of my team?
A: Yes, if they are both in the same family. Otherwise, for waiver purposes, it's best to register separately.
Q: Do we have to run at the same time or on the same day?
A: No, you do not. Each member can run at any time, on any given day.
Q: Do we have to run the same course or do we have to run the usual Parks course?
A: No, you can run your distance anywhere you want to, at any time convenient for either person.
Q: Do we each have to run the same distance?
A: While in the spirit of the usual relay, each person would run the same distance, the virtual race is only meant to be fun. If one person wants to run 10 miles and the other 3.1, that's fine with us.
Q: Do we have to upload my results & how do we do that?
A: Results can be uploaded manually, by visiting the race registration page on RunSignUp and clicking on "Results." The RunSignUp page can be found here. As this event is being conducted "for fun" and results are on the honor system, there is no prize money or age group awards. However, as your mother always said, if you cheat -- you are only cheating yourself.
Q: When & how will I get my swag?
A: We understand the excitement! Plans will be announced to distribute race swag in October, following the completion deadline for the race (Sept. 30th). Details on how that will work will be provided to all finishers after that time. We appreciate your patience!

A. Yes, it's true! The bibs are personalized just for you & ready to download to make your race feel more "official."
