DESCRIPTION:

  • eRACE THE STIGMA's mission is to provide mental health awareness, support, and education as well as direct help to families in crisis or organizations that help families/individuals.  eRace the Stigma is partnering with the Wicomico Public Schools and The Wicomico Local Management Board to offer a 5k race during the 2nd Annual Children's Mental Health Awareness Fair in the Salisbury City Park.  eRace the Stigma is a 501C3 and proceeds from the race go to individuals in need of treatment, and/or organizations who provide education/awareness/treatment for mental health, illness, and/or addiction.

RACE TIME:  

  • 5:30 pm Start

 

RACE REGISTRATION:

  • 5k Run/Walk
    • $25.00 Early-Registration through 4/15/24 at midnight
    • $30.00 Pre-Registration through race-day at 5:00 pm
       
  • 5k "Non-Competitive" Walk
    • $25.00 Early-Registration through 4/15/24 at midnight
    • $30.00 Pre-Registration through race-day at 5:00 pm
  • A Universal Paper Application is also available on the Seashore Strider website for those who would rather mail in their entry form.
    • Entry must arrive by Monday of race week to be guaranteed a race t-shirt

RACE-DAY TIME SCHEDULE:

  • 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm...Race-Day Packet Pick-up for all PRE-REGISTERED RUNNERS & WALKERS
  • 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm...Race-Day "LATE" REGISTRATION
  • 5:00 pm...Packet Pickup & Late Registration will close...No Exceptions
  • 5:15 pm...Opening Ceremony with guest speaker & final race instructions
  • 5:30 pm...5k Race begins 
  • 6:15 pm...Awards Ceremony

 

TO BENEFIT:

  • Proceeds from the race go to individuals in need of treatment, and/or organizations who provide education/awareness/treatment for mental health, illness, and/or addiction.

 

RACE COURSE:

  • 3.11 mile course at the Salisbury City Park in Salisbury, MD

 

COURSE ETIQUETTE:

  • ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES.  
    PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED
    FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT.   THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER.   RACE DIRECTOR TIM-SS
     

 
RACE TIMING:

  • Seashore Strider Event Production Inc. will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

 

RACE AMENITIES:

  • Short Sleeve 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton T-shirts guaranteed to all PRE-Registered participants by 5/6/24...register early!   Cool Awards, Post-Race Award Celebration, Lot's of Family Events and Information at the Children's Mental Health Fair.

 

AWARDS: 

  • 5k Individual Awards...Overall Male & Female, Master Male & Female, and top 3 finishers in 10 year age groups from 9 & U to 70 & O.   No Awards in the "Non-Competitive" 5k event.
     

 

RACE PARKING:  

  • Plenty of Parking in the Salisbury City Park.

 

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL:  

  • The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:  1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.   2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.  3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.  Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders.
