Description
The 2nd Annual Oral Cancer Foundation 5K Walk/Run in Memory of Peter McGee Hoffman will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Online registration closes at 12pm on Friday, April 15th (*5% of your donation will be taken for a processing fee). You may register in person at the event site. Please bring check or money order made out to The Oral Cancer Foundation. The first 200 participants to arrive the morning of will receive an OCF Event Bag!
Peter McGee Hoffman was a healthy, active 23 year old when diagnosed with tongue cancer in August 2008. He died just 7 short months later at the age of 24. Peter was unbelievably strong during his illness, and had already begun planning a fundraising 5K from his hospital bed to raise awareness of oral cancer. Peter lived his life with kindness, generosity and a boundless sense of adventure. Inspired by those memories of Peter, his family and friends organized last year's inaugural 5K, and now hope to continue Peter's original vision with this year's Walk/Run. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, April 16, 2016 - a day to remember Peter and help us achieve his goal of spreading awareness and raising critical funds in the fight to end oral cancer.
