Stocking Suffer 8-Hour Endurance Run
97 spots left. Registration ends December 5, 2026 at 11:59pm EST
Event Description
Get ready for a fun, challenging day on the trail — our 8-hour Terrapin Nature Park Endurance Race! You’ll have eight hours to run as many 2.8-mile laps as you can (or as many as you want). Every lap you finish earns a new surprise added to your personal stocking — the more laps, the fuller the stocking. When the clock stops, or you are finished, take home everything you’ve collected plus a special “check-out” gift. The top male and female finishers (most laps) will receive special awards.
What’s provided
- A stocking for every participant, which we will fill with lap-earned goodies.
- A well-stocked KIRG aid station at the start/finish with water, sports drink, and a variety of fueling snacks to keep you going.
- Ample space at the start/finish to set up your own rest/aid station. Bring extra fluids or food if you prefer more options — and feel free to share with fellow runners.
- Full-service restrooms at the start/finish and several porta-potties on course.
Why join?
- Pace yourself, set a goal, and watch your stocking grow lap by lap.
- Race for a friendly competition, or treat this as a personal challenge and enjoy the nature loop.
- Community atmosphere: cheer others on, swap snacks, and celebrate every lap.

Our Charities
We ask that each participant bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. There will be a drop box at the race. All cash donations will be donated to Haven Ministries Emergency Food Bank.
Haven Ministries operates (2) Food Pantries configured as grocery stores, allowing clients the dignity of “shopping” for their food. Food is provided through donations from the community, individuals, and purchases through The Maryland Food Bank. Donations are received in person at our Queenstown location.
Sponsorships
Your support can make a meaningful difference in our community. We are seeking donations from local businesses and organizations to help us host this community running event benefiting Toys for Tots and Haven Ministries Emergency Food Bank.
Your sponsorship will directly support children and families in need. Your generosity will not only help make this event a success but will also demonstrate your commitment to giving back to our community. Together, we can provide toys for children during the holiday season and food assistance for local families facing hardship. Thank you for considering a donation and for partnering with Kent Island Running Group to make a lasting impact.
