Welcome to the 21st Annual Matzohball 5k! We continue to offer both the 5k event and the 1-mile fun run/walk. This year's run will be held at the beautiful Howard County Western Regional Park.
Family registration will include a coupon for 1 awesome Cup of Matzohball Soup in your packet pickup bag, courtesy of Mikey & Mel's, Maple Lawn Maryland.

Packet Pick-Up:
Packet Pick-Up will be at Road Runner Sports from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, June 7th

Road Runner Sports will be making a very generous contribution to Matzohball 5k for each packet picked up at Road Runner Sports during Packet Pick-Up. Road Runner Sports will also be offering $10 instant rewards cash for participants who join the Road Runner Sports VIP club at the store during Packet Pick-Up. (Existing VIP members will receive DOUBLE Rewards Cash)
There will be a registration desk on race morning on-site which will be open from 8am to 8:45am. Note that race morning registration will be $30. We will have a very limited supply of shirts available for purchase at the registration tables. On-site registration table will be open on race morning from 8am to 8:45am. Please try to arrive by 8:30am. Plenty of parking this year but still recommending that you give yourself 30 minutes to park, check-in and stretch. If registering on-site race morning, please try to arrive by 8am.
Don’t miss the fun! Enjoy one of the most beautiful and fun 5k courses anywhere. Our team spent over 15 hours preparing a course that is interesting and with just the right amount of twists and turns for all ages and abilities!

Awards: 5K awards will include top overall male and female, and the top three in each age group. Age groups are as follows: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Event Rules: Runners must obey all race official instructions. Runners must follow the course as indicated by signage, cones, and course officials. No deviation will be allowed before, during, or after the race. Bibs must be worn on the front of your body at all times.

5K Race Day Info: Weather Updates & What to Expect
Race day is fast approaching, and we can’t wait to see you this Sunday for the 21st Annual Matzohball 5k. We’re excited to have you join us, rain or shine, but we also want to keep you informed about the weather and how we’ll be handling any conditions that might arise.
Event Details & Weather Plan:
Location: Pavilion 4 (near the start/finish line - just follow the signs after entering the main gate)
Parking: Ample parking is available next to Pavilion 4. (Best parking just beyond Pavilion 4 on the left)
Arrival Time: Please arrive by 8:00 AM to check in, pick up your race packet, and get ready for the start. If you are already registered and have your bib number, try to be in front of our stage just behind the Pavilion 4 by 8:30am for announcements, directions and warm-up.
Weather:
Rain or Shine: The race will take place regardless of rain, but your safety is our priority.
In the Event of Rain: If it is raining upon arrival, please head to check-in to receive the most up-to-date race information and action plan. Our team will be on-site to monitor the conditions and continue to assess right up until race time.
Heavy Winds, Thunder, or Lightning: If conditions include heavy winds, significant rain, thunder, or lightning, we will continue to monitor the situation and may delay the start of the race by up to one hour. Updates will be provided at check-in, and on-site signage and announcements will keep you informed.
What to Bring:
Rain Gear: Please bring rain gear (ponchos, waterproof jackets, hats, etc.) to stay comfortable. We recommend moisture-wicking clothes to help keep you dry. (This is just precautinary as our epectations are that any rain will be light or will have moved through by race-time.)
Safety First:
While we are rain or shine, your safety is our number one concern. If the weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed with the race, we will adjust the event accordingly and notify you promptly.
