Maine Summit Trek for Tree 2023 - Canceled

Hello,

It is with sadness that we have to cancel the Maine Summit Trek for Tree event, scheduled for this Sunday, Oct. 29th due to the tragedy that has happened and continues to impact each one of us. At this point in time, we are not planning on rescheduling the event for this year.

Thank you again for signing up to participate in the Endurance Hiking Challenge. I really hope you can be part of the Trek in the years to come. In the meantime, Tree Street will be sharing out information and updates on other ways we are planning to support our community through the process of healing. Please follow our social media pages (by looking up "Tree Street Youth") to receive those updates if you would like to get involved.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me, Alli, directly at alli@treestreetyouth.org if you have any questions at all!

Here Are Your Options:

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

We understand. We hope you can join us next time.

Description

The Maine Summit Trek for Tree is a unique fundraising and community event hosted by Lost Valley and benefitting Tree Street Youth. The Maine Summit Trek for Tree creates an opportunity for the whole community to summit Lost Valley in Auburn, Maine as many times as possible in 4 hours! Together, we will see how many 4k Maine peaks can be climbed both collectively and individually. Bring your competitive spirit or just show up for some fun!

While the event is open for all, the Maine Summit Trek for Tree also offers an Endurance Hiking Challenge.

From 11AM-3PM, Endurance Challengers will run, hike, and walk the Access Road of Lost Valley to reach the peak. Take the chair lift down or descend the same path. Repeat as many times as possible to gain the equivalent elevation of some of Maine’s biggest peaks. At only 1/2 a mile and 200’ of gain, give it a try, how many laps can you get? Whether you take on the challenge for 1 hour, or all 4, burn your legs and get your heart pumping, challenge yourself!

Endurance Hikers are asked to pay a $25 registration fee, which supports the cost of the event and includes special event swag. Additionally, Endurance Hikers are invited to take on a fundraising challenge. Invite friends and family to sponsor your runs up the mountain, offering a dollar amount for each successful run! There is no minimum amount to fundraise, and all funds go to a good cause: supporting Tree Street Youth’s programming! If you fundraise $100 or more, then your $25 registration fee will be returned back to you!

The day will wrap up with an Awards Celebration that includes recognition for most laps, most fundraised, and more.
