There is NO cure for brain cancer, and with little funding for this disease in the US, there have been no significant gains in 30 years. Join us on July 28th, 2019 in Augusta, ME at the YMCA Rail Trail for The 6th Annual Bob Burns Memorial 5K to raise money and awareness for The National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) for brain tumor research.
8AM: Registration/packet pick-up - (kids corner and silent auction also open at this time)
8:55AM: Zumba starts for warm up
9:25AM: Survivor Photo
9:30AM: Honoring & Remembering Ceremony
9:40 - 9:55AM: Guest speakers
9:56AM: 50/50 drawing
10AM:Race starts! - A timed event, however come to run or walk! Strollers and well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome!
11AM: Awards & silent auction items to be given out
If you can't make it, donations are welcome, as well as purchasing a T-shirt
Children 5 and under are free
Ages 6-17 $15.00
18+ $25.00 until July 1st
18+ $30.00 June 1st - July 27th
18+ $40.00 day of event
Teams of 3 or more are $20.00 a person
T-Shirts are $20.00 - however if you raise $100.00 per person, you will be rewarded a free shirt!
Also new this year, if you raise $500.00 (individual or team combined), a sign with your team name, honor/memory of who you wish will be added to the race course!
DEADLINE for signs are JULY 1st, to guarantee your shirt is JULY 14th
