Support Falmouth Memorial Library

Held annually on the first Saturday of December, the Ugly Sweater 5K & Merry Mile is part of the Town’s Very Merry Falmouth weekend-long celebration.

The Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and race proceeds benefit the Falmouth Memorial Library’s Annual Fund.

So break out those ugly sweaters and join us for this holiday hustle down US Route 1 in Falmouth! Between the 5K chip-timed road race and the 1-mile fun walk, there is something for everyone.

NEW for this year, to help keep everyone safe with our increased numbers, the Merry Mile course will go down Clearwater and behind Walmart, ending in the same location as always, at the Library!

5K Details

The 5K is a chip-timed road race for runners.  (Please note: walkers are encouraged to participate in the Merry Mile.)

Course: Depot Road to Route 1. Right on Route 1 south to Route 88. North to Old Mill, turn right, left on to Edgewater, right on to Anderson, left on to Ridgeway, left onto Route 88, right onto Depot. The start and the finish line is on Depot Road in front of the parking lot of the American Legion.

Awards: First-place male, female, and non-binary 5K finishers, plus first place of each 10-year age group.

"Ugliest" and "Most Original" sweater awards will be given!

Merry Mile Details

This is a chance to show off your most festive attire and walk with friends and family down Route 1, while supporting the Library at the same time!
