Description
RUN OR WALK from route 1 in Pembroke, Maine on the pristine shores of Cobscook Bay, finishing on America’s easternmost saltwater bay, and majestic Reserving Falls town park home to eagles, osprey, and seals.
For 25 years Cobscook Bay Road Races have donated 100% of your registration fee to support the mission of Down Eat Hospice Volunteers, the only volunteer hospice program of cost-free comfort care for the terminally ill, the grieving, and their families throughout Washington County, Maine.

About
For 25 years now ALL proceeds have been directly donated to the mission of Down East Hospice Volunteers! -Thousands of dollars have been donated over the past 25 years.
Participants can look forward to:

10k Course Description

The 10k (6.2 miles) course is a USA Track and Field Certified course. Starting behind from the Pie Ladies Bakery in Pembroke, Maine at the corner of US Route 1 and Old County rd. Runners head downhill at the start to a right onto Leighton Point Rd. Small rolling hills with incredible views of Cobscook Bay from miles 1.5 to 3.1. A right onto Clarkside Rd, and left onto Young Cove road at mile 4.75 takes you to the Finish line at the famous Reversing Falls town park. Save something in the tank for the last 1.5 miles. Stick around for awards and amazing post-race cookout.

The 5k (3.1 miles) course is a USA Track and Field Certified course. Starting on Leighton Point Rd. Small rolling hills with incredible views of Cobscook Bay. A right onto Clarkside Rd, and left onto Young Cove road takes you to the Finish line at the famous Reversing Falls Town Park. Stick around for awards and amazing post-race cookout.
Please note 5k Runners: Special Transportation NOTICE:
There is no provided transportation to the 5k start line from the Check in Location at Pie Ladies Bakery (1 Triangle Plaza, Pembroke) except for gracious volunteers. Please ask a friend/spouse to transport you to the 5k start line on Leighton Point Rd. Announcements will be made when runners should leave. All 5k runners must be at 5k start line by 10am. We are working on providing a bus, more details announced soon.
