New Date: TBD
Dear Runners and Friends,
We've got some sad news, due to the ongoing health crisis and the numerous warnings from the Maine & Federal CDC we will be postponing our Brewshed Beer Run 2020 to a later date this Summer. We understand that we're still 2 months out from the race and things may change but we wanted to get ahead of it and not leave you guessing! We're currently working on dates with the city and trying to find a good fit for our new race. Please keep a look out for the new date or look for our email.
Regarding refunds, deferrals, and bib transfers. As we have previously noted we are unable to refund your registration for this years event. ALTHOUGH you may participate on the forthcoming postponement date at no additional charge or you may defer your registration for free to next years event (tentatively May 22nd, 2021). Alternatively you may transfer your bib to a friend or family member for free. If the previous options do not work for you, please know that proceeds of this event will go straight to the Maine Brewshed Alliance and not into our pockets.
If you have any comments or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or DM us. We look forward to the upcoming season with you. Thank you and stay safe!
We're excited to announce our inaugural Brewshed Beer Run, a 5 mile road race along the scenic Back Cove in Portland, ME, supporting the conservation efforts of the Maine Brewshed Alliance & Natural Resources Council of Maine!
Join us Saturday May 23rd for great beer, great fun, and a great cause - protecting Maine's waterways! Just for signing up, you'll be treated to a free post-race pint of a special release Brewery Extrava craft brew!
Participant registrations will be capped at 200 runners. Follow The Grind Run Company on Facebook for further details, and to reserve your spot!
The course starts at Brewery Extrava at 66 Cove St then follows the East Bayside Bike Path then under I-295 and does a complete loop of the Back Cove Trail then follows the East Bayside Bike Path back to Brewery Extrava. One water station will be available for participants on the Back Cove Trail at mile 2.4, supplied with water and snacks. The course is measured at 4.90 miles and NOT a full 5 miles.
To help us raise as much as we can and to help you raise a glass, we offer a 16oz beer mug to our runners as a add-on purchase. All proceeds from the beer mug sales goes to the Maine Brewshed Alliance.
Beer mugs will be available at bib pick up or during the after race party only. Due to the low cost of the mug and the high cost of shipping, none will be shipped.
