Description

Tiny Trail Races is our fun summer 5K trail series through some of greater Portland's hidden and beautiful trail networks! Runners of all ages and levels will get to enjoy a dash through the woods while helping local land trusts, towns, and non-profits maintain these spectacular spaces. Each race will be capped to 50 runners per event, hence the "tiny" trail race!

Awards

Top male and females will in each race will receive custom made top finisher awards. In an effort to reduce waste in our environment and unwanted items, this year we will be giving each participant a singular award commemorating the event (one award, instead of three). Award to be announced soon!

The Course and Markings

Each course is on commonly used trails, though some sections include rocks, roots, and narrowed segments. These trail networks are a great for all ages and levels to run on. Each course will be marked with orange pin flags and white chalk. One aid station stocked with water and light snacks will be at the start/finish line for runners only.

The course will be well-marked with orange pin flags, "WRONG WAY" signs, and arrow signs. Three orange pin flags indicate a TURN and arrow signs will be at critical turns.

COVID

We plan to hold the event in person as envisioned, although we will be incorporating a number of safety precautions for volunteers and runners, including a 50 participant cap. We will be closely monitoring CDC, local, and state guidelines, and will adjust as necessary, but we feel confident that this event will go forward as planned.

This is a grassroots event benefiting the local trail systems. Accordingly, event management will not issue any refunds associated with this event, under any circumstances. Any residual profits will be donated to a local land trust of the event organizers choosing. We will make every effort to defer your credit towards another race we organize in the event of a mass cancellation.
