Description

April is National Autism Awareness month. To bring awareness, support families, and raise money for the Aroostook Autism Support Group, several events are planned throughout the month, including the Autism Challenge.This is a benefit 5K run and walk, where there is something for everyone in our community to show support. The Autism Challenge is presented by the Aroostook Autism Support Group.

The Autism Challenge will be held on Saturday, April 30th, at the Presque Isle Middle School. Registration will begin at 8:15 am inside the gymnasium.  The 1 Mile Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:30 am.  The 5K run and walk will begin at 10:00 am in front of the middle school and will be a fully supported running race with awards. Kids Fun Run entry is $5; 5K Run and Walk entry is $25 per person. All proceeds from the Autism Challenge benefit the Aroostook Autism Support Group.

Changes from previous events include: Cotton Unisex Shirts for the first 100 5K athletes and 25 for the first Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, and Chip Timing for Runners Only.
