RUN FOR HEROES- PRESQUE ISLE

May is National Military Appreciation Month in the United States.  It is the sacrifices that our men and women of the US Armed Services make daily that protect our beloved land.  Run for HEROES is a 5K run and walk to show our support, on Armed Forces Day, to those who currently serve, have served, and for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

The Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporation is an all-volunteer non-profit organization striving to bring awareness and well-deserved respect and options for a final resting place for our nation's honorably discharged veterans. A top priority is the enhancement and beautification of the northern most nationally recognized veteran’s cemetery in Maine - The Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou.  In support of this mission, CompetitorME is donating 100% of the proceeds to the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporation.

Any service member, past or present, is encouraged to wear camoflage as a symbol of their service.  Additionally, we welcome our Canadian Forces to join in honoring our Nation's Militaries.  Together, we'll make this a fun and memorable event!
