Rock Paper Scissors Race Series

The United Way of Oxford County is happy to announce the 3rd Annual Rock, Paper, Scissors Triple Crown Series. The series includes a snowshoe race, a cross-country ski race, and a 5k run/walk. Participants are encouraged to dress to the theme of each race, prizes will be given out at each race for the best costume. United Way of Oxford County will also give out a special prize for those who participate in each of the three races. All proceeds benefit United Way of Oxford County’s Community Fund, which is used to invest in programming focused on educational achievement, long-term financial stability, and improved health. Cupid Dash - Participants can choose between a 2.5k, 5k, or 10k snowshoe race. The Cupid Dash will be held on February 11th at Roberts Farm in Norway as part of the Mellie Dunham Snowshoe Festival. Registration will begin at 9:30 and the races will begin at 10:30. ***The first 50 participants to register for one of our Cupid Dash events will receive a water with their entry!***

Shamrock Shuffle - Join us for a Cross-Country Ski 5k on March 18th at Carter's Ski Center in Bethel. Registration will begin at 9:00 and the race will begin at 10:00. 

Spring Fling - The Rock, Paper, Scissors Triple Crown Series will wrap up with the Spring Fling 5k Run/Walk on April 15th in Fryeburg. Registration will begin at 9:00 and the race will begin at 10:00.

World Championship Snowshoe Wife Carry -  The Mellie Dunham Snowshoe Festival held in Norway, ME has hosted the event at Roberts Farm Preserve since 2012. The course at Roberts Farm is built to Snowshoe Wife Carry specifications at 125 yards in length; with three dry obstacles. Teams will race the course in heats of 3 or 4 and fastest times of the day will be crowned The World Champions of Snow Shoe Wife Carrying!
