Description

Heritage Park, during the peak for beautiful Fall colors, will be the site of the 5th Annual Heritage 1/2 Marathon and 50k Ultramarathon.  Choose 13.1 or 31 miles of beautiful trails, with minimal pavement for your Fall 1/2 marathon or 50k, or your first race/run experience on the trails.      

All finishers will receive a Medal if registered by September 14!

All registered participants by September 14th will receive a long sleeve tech race shirt.  After 9/14 shirts and/or specific sizes may not be available. 

Please note:  Once registered, this race does not offer refunds, transfers, rollovers, etc. 

The link below represents the 1/2 marathon course.  For the 50k, runners will do a 5ish mile loop around parts of the perimeter of the park before completing two 1/2 marathon loops.  The course will be well-marked with paint, flags, signs, and ribbons.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to be an experienced runner to participate?  No, all are welcome, and you can do it.  Run or Jog!  We do have a cut off time for the races:  Runners will need to finish by 4pm. 

What do I get for registering?  All participants who register before 9/14/24 will receive our awesome long-sleeve tech race shirt!  Runners will have access to fully stocked aid stations along the route, and food at the finish.   Registration fees will increase after Sept 1st. 

Will you have shirt and race # pick up before race day?  Yes, on Friday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Running With E's - 146 N. Main St. Adrian MI 49221  Participants may also pick up their shirt and race # the morning of the races at Heritage Park 3221 N. Adrian Hwy Adrian MI 49221  at the concession area (at the center of the baseball fields) beginning at 6:45 am.

What happens if I register for the 50k but change my mind before or during the race?  During the race, participants may "drop down" and switch from the 50k to the 1/2 marathon.  As long as a participant completes at least 13.1 miles,1/2 marathon finisher.  Please Note:  After initial registration, we will not be able to refund the difference in the registration prices if you drop down a race. Also, you will not be able to bump up to a longer distance. 

What will you have at Aid Stations?  Expect water, sports drink, and energy food as well as sweet, salty, and savory snacks! 

What will the course be like?  Heritage park is a beautiful wooded park with paved trails, service roads, single and double track trails, along with wide open spaces.  Trails are well maintained with occasional roots, and rolling hills.  Some areas could be muddy in the event of rain, but for the most part, the park and trails are in excellent condition during the entire year, and especially scenic during the Fall.   

What gear will I need? Trail or road shoes will both work for the trails of Heritage park.  There will be a designated area at approximately the 13.1 mile mark for 50k runners to keep a drop bag or other personal items needed during the race.    

What can I win and how?  We have some great prizes up for grabs.  Awards will be given to the Male and Female Overall Champions and to Male and Female age group winners in the following categories:  18 & Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
