Join us in celebrating International Mud Day with a month-long play outside challenge and a muddy and messy Mud Day Mayhem in-person event. In the Mud Day Challenge you will have all month to complete a series of challenges and activities to collect images of our mystical Mud Monster. Each minute you spend outdoors you can track as a “Muddy Minute.” This Challenge is for kids and grown ups.

Log at least 250 Muddy Minutes of outdoor play and exploration and win a prize. Go for a trail run, take a
nature hike, dig in your garden, dive into a mud pit, make a mud pie or create a muddy
work of art. Sign up online to track your Muddy Minutes and make a donation to support our Scholarship Fund. Each minute you log counts to our collective goal of 20,000 minutes. Consider asking someone to sponsor your minutes and donate $1 for every minute you play in the mud!

International Mud Day History!
This international celebration began in 2009 when a group of young children in Australia raised money to buy extra clothes so that children in Nepal could share in their joy of playing in the mud.
