Description
Saturday's Fitness Expo will provide runners picking up packets with access to local vendors providing awesome opportunities at cool products and services. The first 1,000 runners picking up packets will receive a cool swag item for coming out early! Hang out for the first race of the weekend - the Leprechaun Run for the youngsters. Bring out the little ones for race distances of 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and 1 mile or stop out near the start/finish line behind the Dow Bay Area YMCA to cheer the kids on!
Sunday kicks off with the 8k run at 9:30AM. The 5k Run begins at 11:30AM with the 5k Walk following 5 minutes later at 11:35AM. Both the 8k and 5k Races start and finish in Historic Downtown Bay City at the corner of Center Avenue and Washington. Additional bleachers will be present near the finish line this year for those bringing family and friends to cheer them on!
The course is flat and fast with over 5,000 participants and continues to grow every year. The races are professionally timed with 8k splits and runners being provided same day online results. Cool t-shirts, awesome finisher medals, overall and age group awards, professional timing, and a great race expo are all part of the package when one registers for this race.
