Veterans Honor Run

ALL RACES WILL START AT 11:11AM.  The Burton Veterans Honor Run is an 11K Run and a 5K Run/Walk which starts at one of Burton’s most popular restaurants, Bubba O’Malley’s, and includes a route through the City of Burton’s showcase park, Kelly Lake. All runners and walkers are invited to participate, with a special honor to veterans with specially designed racing bibs for both veterans and active duty military entrants. An after event party featuring food from Bubba O’Malley’s will take place in the restaurant and patio. Proceeds will benefit The City of Burton Parks & Recreation Department and the Disabled American Veterans organization.

The first 250 entrants will receive a special edition dog tag.  Veterans and active military duty participants will receive a race number with their branch of service, if registration received by October 13, 2013.

All participants will receive a voucher for their choice of one pre-selected menu item at Bubba O'Malley's post race celebration.

11k participants will run through one of the bays of the newly built Burton Fire Station #2.

Long sleeved cotton shirts are available to purchase. Veterans and active duty military will have a special recognition shirt if registered early.
