Be Well at ECHRS

Eaton County Health & Rehabilitation Services are hosting their 2nd Annual Be Well at ECHRS 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 29, 2017.  The event is open to people of all ages.  No pets, please.   Walkers with strollers will be asked to start behind the runners.  

The 5K Run/Walk is open to people of all ages with an additional option this year for family teams of 3-5 members. Event timed with the Chronotrack B-Tag Disposable system. 

The 5K Run/Walk begins at the parking lot of Wellness 101, Outpatient Clinic of ECHRS with individuals heading south running along neighborhood streets, coursing around the Charlotte Elementary School on High Street, through a quiet pasture/field area, trailing off onto a hardened dirt road, Foote Road, for a change in pace and back onto paved Wheaton Road, with a final turn heading east onto Beech Street to begin the final leg toward the start line.  The course is fairly flat the entire route. 

All proceeds benefit: The Healing & Healthcare Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that was created to help provide funds to the under and uninsured. The Foundation establishes a means for community members, businesses and employees to financially support the care provided by the Eaton County Health & Rehabilitation Services (ECHRS).

In conjunction with the 5K race, Barry-Eaton District Health Department will be hosting a health fair located in front of Wellness 101/Healing Center building to provide participants, observers and family members helpful tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle.
