It is with a heavy heart that we announce this race is cancelled for 2020.
We had hoped that the situation would turn around sooner and let us move forward, but we got news today that the State Park will not be allowing events through at least May 12th now. Unfortunately that means the race is cancelled.
We have communicated with the park about rescheduling again, but the only space they have available for this event is October and we do not have any open time in October with other events already scheduled. So unfortunately rescheduling will not be possible for 2020.
All current registrations will be converted to virtual and athletes will receive their shirt and medal. An email with more details will be sent to current registrants.
Please take heed of what local and national authorities are saying in regard to safe practices during this time and keep your heads up. We will get through this and back to normal life!
Additional race information can be found at http://triviumracing.com/event/2020carpediem/.
Seize the Day and Seize the Night in 2020 with one of Trivium's favorite events! The race will take place on the beautiful and smooth trails of Proud Lake State Recreation Area. These trails are perfect for running both day and night and will offer a chance for lightning fast trail-race times!
The event includes both a long (Half Marathon) and short (10K ) option in the morning and evening. The morning race will be completely in daylight and the evening option will start before dark, but many people will finish after the sun has gone down!
We will have both a day medal, and a night medal. If you do both events your two medals will connect to make one complete medal.

There will be tons of parking available right at the starting area, which is in the RV campground, please make sure you use the correct address as the starting line is not near the main entrance of the state park, but rather at the campground entrance!
This is a state park so to enter the state park you will need a State Park Passport (good at all parks all year) upon arrival. This money will be collected at the gate if you do not already have one, but it's cheaper to get it ahead of time!
Our 10K course is very similar to the Half marathon course, but only one lap and you will turn off early on the far side of the course. These trails are very smooth and well groomed, perfect for a flying fast time!
These is an awesome fun course, and will be even more fun in the dark! These will trails have moderate hills, and are extremely well groomed!
