Patrick Hill was a Detroit Police officer who was injured in the line of duty on April 2, 2013 and passed away on 10-19-2013 after succumbing to his injuries. Through my grief and dealing with losing my husband physically, I felt obligated to give back to the community that raised him, he protected, and ultimately he gave his life for.
Officer Rose dedicated his K-9 Wolverine in honor of Patrick’s sacrifice on October 19, 2016. The date that marked Officer Patrick Hill’s 3rd End of Watch anniversary. Just over 1 month after the dedication, Officer Rose was ambushed and passed away on November 23, 2016. April 1 is Officer Rose’s birthday and we will also celebrate his legacy and sacrifice this day.
