Patrick Hill was a Detroit Police officer who was injured in the line of duty on April 2, 2013 and passed away on 10-19-2013 after succumbing to his injuries. Through my grief and dealing with losing my husband physically, I felt obligated to give back to the community that raised him, he protected, and ultimately he gave his life for.
Officer Rose dedicated his K-9 Wolverine in honor of Patrick’s sacrifice on October 19, 2016. The date that marked Officer Patrick Hill’s 3rd End of Watch anniversary. Just over 1 month after the dedication, Officer Rose was ambushed and passed away on November 23, 2016. April 1 is Officer Rose’s birthday and we will also celebrate his legacy and sacrifice this day. Some of the proceeds raised for the 5k will be donated to help assist in finding the person responsible for his death.
