Description

Join us for the annual PH1LL Foundation 5k run/walk! We are looking forward to our 2022 race and hope you'll join us for the fun!

Location: Detroit Riverfront, behind The Renaissance Center, located at 1340 Atwater, Detroit, MI

T- Shirts: Guaranteed if registered by March 15th. T-shirts available as supplies last after that date.

Be sure to preregister for the race!  There is no race day registration. Online registration will be open until April 1st at 11:59 pm.

Early Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, March 30th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Run Detroit - 441 Canfield, Detroit 48201 - Parking Info HERE

Race Day Packet Pick Up: Starts at 7:30 AM.   Race starts at 9 AM.  Award ceremony starts at 10 AM

Course: Accurate scenic 5k along the Riverwalk and through the Dequindre cut.

Parking: Available at 1340 Atwater at the race registration location.

Awards: Overall award to Male and Female winner and top 3 male and female in each age group.

Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & up

Purpose: All proceeds go to the PH1LL Foundation in giving financial support, scholarships, and resources for single mothers.

All participants will receive bottled water and complimentary healthy snacks. Awards for top 3 in each age group, a t-shirt, and a souvenir bracelet.

The race will be chipped timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on this website.

We are honoring and remembering a hero, Detroit Police Officer Patrick Hill

Patrick Hill was a Detroit Police officer who was injured in the line of duty on April 2, 2013 and passed away on 10-19-2013 after succumbing to his injuries. Through my grief and dealing with losing my husband physically, I felt obligated to give back to the community that raised him, he protected, and ultimately he gave his life for.

On this day we will be also honoring Wayne State University Police Officer, Collin Rose.

Officer Rose dedicated his K-9 Wolverine in honor of Patrick’s sacrifice on October 19, 2016. The date that marked Officer Patrick Hill’s 3rd End of Watch anniversary. Just over 1 month  after the dedication, Officer Rose was ambushed and passed away on November 23, 2016. April 1 is Officer Rose’s birthday and we will also celebrate his legacy and sacrifice this day.
