Description

At Bat presents the Scotts® Pitch, Hit, and Run Youth Competition. The competition will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on April 21st at Peterson Park of Detroit, MI and is free to the public. Scotts Pitch, Hit and Run Youth Competition provides an opportunity for youth to be a major league player for a day.

Pitch, Hit, and Run is the official skills competition for Major League Baseball (MLB)! This grassroots program is designed to provide youth with not only an opportunity to compete, but helps children recognize their individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Boys and Girls between the ages of 7-14 as of July 17, 2018, have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, using each level to determine ranking and score. Each individual who becomes the Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in the age group division at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of competition. The three players with the highest score, invited to play in Team Championships held at Major League ballparks. Finally, winners of the Team Championships will wrap up the competition at the National Finals during the 2018 MLB All Star Week.

All Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. The competition will provide fun to the entire family. Other activities include face painting, music, and other entertainment. Concessions will be available for purchase.
