2020 Event Cancelled Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Concerns
Athletes, after much debate and struggle, Rocket Mortgage, The Grand Prix and Trivium Racing have come to the incredibly tough decision to cancel this race for 2020. Unfortunately with the amount of in-person planning necessary to put on the Fan Fest and the amount of athlete items that need to be pre-ordered, it has become impossible to host this event in late May. Looking forward we believe that there is a good chance the city and state will still be limiting large gatherings into late May and there is no opportunity for us to reschedule this race for a later date. The advantage of cancelling now, is that we have the ability to refund current registrants' registration fee (not including initial processing fee).
We really hate to cancel events, but we don't want to be stuck in the position of not being able to make refunds or keeping registration open only to cancel later. We still have several other great events to plan for this year, so please check out our race calendar! Thank you for understanding.

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix (presented by Lear) and the Rocket Mortgage Golf Classic are teaming up, bringing their events together and are going to put on an amazing memorial day morning of racing! Come on our on May 24th to Campus Martius and race in our 5K or 1 mile, and then stick around for the viewing party of the Indianapolis 500 and the Charles Schwab Challenge! We are going to have a fast, flat USATF certified course and this will be a great opportunity for everyone to get a late spring PR!
This race will be a part of the Trivium Mega Medal as well as a part of the Trivium Individual Race Series and the Club Cup Race Series! The medals together will form a daisy for this years race. And keeping with the natural vintage theme, the 6 petal medals will be made of wood. The big medallion medal in the middle (Growler Gallop 10 Mile and 5k) will be made of metal and will have connection spots for each of the other race medals!
