Max's Race will partner with The Davies Project in 2023 for our 18th annual in-person 5k run/walk on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. Consider a scavenger hunt of Max's favorite things such as the moon, the color orange, or MSU's mascot Sparty to honor the legacy of Max who passed away at the age of 6 due to complications from meningitis.
Proceeds from the event will support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges.
All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and finisher's medal.
Special family/group pricing: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $5 per person. Valid for the 5k.

Awards: Overall awards to top male and female finisher. Awards to top 3 in each 5-year age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Virtual times will not be counted toward age group awards.
Packet pickup: Friday, June 23rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Playmakers in Okemos. Race packets can be shipped, starting June 17th for $8.
Race Day packet pickup: 7:00 am to 8:00 am morning of the race in front of the MSU Auditorium
Race Day Start Times: 5K run/walk starts at 8AM, kids mile starts at 9:30AM, followed by kids sprint
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Playmakers.com.

The Davies Project provides community-based, non-medical support for local families facing serious, long-term health challenges with a child. Volunteer drivers provide rides to medical appointments for children with a serious health condition, pregnant women, and for parents with a baby in the NICU if no car is available.
Each participant will receive a finisher's medal.

We are excited to be part of the 2023 Greater Lansing Area Race Series! This year GLARS features 10 races from the Greater Lansing Area, starting in March and ending in late September. There is no need to register for the Race Series; just participate in the events listed on their website and earn points towards some sweet awards!
